Shipping Policy

Thank you for visiting and shopping at The Literate Lizard Online. Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. In most cases, books are shipped directly from our distributor warehouses. In some cases, different books in your order may not all be available in the same warehouse and will ship separately. This will not affect your shipping charge, but may cause delays in the normal shipping time.

Only books currently available in the warehouse qualify for the 99 cents per item additional quantities. Any book that is backordered or is a pre-order of an upcoming title will ship when available and shipping charges for these items are applied individually per title. Preorders and backorders do not count toward the total of your in-stock order if mailed on a separate date.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

We will contact you by phone or email if there are any delays or unusual issues with shipping your order.

Delivery delays can occasionally occur. We do not currently do any express shipping.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

The Literate Lizard Online is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).


The Literate Lizard Online is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

International Shipping Policy

We currently do not ship outside the U.S.
